School Now on National Register

  

On October 2, 2018, the St. George Rosenwald School was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America

$1.4 Million for Rosenwald School

  

On October 25, 2018, Senator John W. Matthews and Representative Patsy Knight presented the Town of St. George with a check for $1.4 million dollars to aid in the restoration of the St. George Rosenwald School project.

 
 

$1.2 million dollars of the grant money came from the Upper Dorchester County Economic Development Fund with the remainder of $200,000 dollars given by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History.
